A Week In Review

This week was a week full of stress. Let's recap, shall we?

-My oldest nanny kid, A, got H1N1 last Saturday, which meant I had the whole week off work. Surprisingly enough, the week went by quickly. It wasn't a very restful week for me, so I almost feel like I haven't had any time off. I need to call my nanny family at some point today to actually make sure that I'm going back to work (as planned) in the morning. Keep your fingers crossed for me, I can't afford anymore time off.

-I posted here earlier in the week (Tuesday perhaps?) about getting the condo we looked at. That was a bit premature, apparently. After being told that the condo was ours, all we had to do was sign the lease, we got a call back later in the evening and we were told that the condo was still being shown and another lady was very interested. Cue the stress. To make a long . short, we had to come up with $1000 a couple of days earlier than originally planned. We were then supposed to go hand over the damage deposit and sign the lease on Thursday, but we were told that the lease still wasn't ready. We rescheduled for Saturday morning, so that we could also do an inspection at the same time. Saturday morning rolled around and THEY STILL WEREN'T READY. Stephen and I were beginning to feel like we were being jerked around, which is awful because we loved the place and the landlord had seemed so nice and liked us so much. We rescheduled (once again) for Saturday night, as Stephen and I had plans all afternoon. Finally, after much stress and anxiety, we headed over to the condo, signed the lease and got the keys. We move in on Saturday. Holy heck do I have a lot of packing to do. This is going to be one busy week. This is mine and Stephen's first place together, alone. We're pretty dang excited, and hopefully all this stress was worth it.

-Friday night was my Passion Party. It was the perfect break from stress! Almost all of my guests showed up about an hour early though, right while I was trying to do my hair. I wasn't done cleaning yet, but I left the sweeping and just spent time with my friends. I've been to two Passion Parties before, so this wasn't anything new to me. A friend of mine from high school was the consultant, so that just made the night even better!

-Saturday afternoon, Stephen's mom came to Calgary from Edmonton. She's involved with a new business (I may blog about it sometime), and had asked me to invite my friends and family to a presentation and spa party. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular, but I was quite impressed. This company seems to have some really amazing products, but due to lack of funds, I wasn't able to purchase anything. We all gave ourselves a facial, including Stephen, and my skin felt absolutely amazing!

So that's my week in a nutshell. Let's hope that this coming week is a better one, and that I have enough time and energy to tackle my mountain of a to do list. I may, or may not, be around this week, but hopefully by next Sunday I have internet to do another week in review post!
